Transporting your vehicles is not as hard as it may seem. There is a bit of preparation necessary before you ship your vehicle. Your preparations will assist us to make your shipping experience safe and solid.

Here are a few tips you should consider prior to shipping your vehicle:

  • Make sure your vehicle is in working condition
  • Check any fluid leakage or loose hanging parts
  • Notify your transporting agent if your vehicle is in an inoperable or non-running condition before scheduling your order
  • Disable your car alarm system before shipping
  • Remove all valuable items from your vehicle (e.g. cell phones, iPods, etc.)

Please plan approximately 10-15 minutes for the driver to perform an inspection at the pickup and delivery points of your shipment. You will be asked to sign the Conditional Report or Bill of Lading prior to the release of your vehicle.

It's important to specify any damage to your vehicle on the Bill of Lading before releasing your vehicle. If any damage happens to your car during transit and you do not have a signed Conditional Report from the pick-up and delivery points, you will be responsible for the damage and will have to accept the vehicle as is at the point of delivery.

After loading your vehicle from your door, Global Auto Transportation and its chosen carrier will be responsible for your car shipment and its transit. Global Auto Transportation always serves its customers with all inclusive prices, which include freight charges, fuel costs, full insurance as well as taxes.

Our drivers will give you a 24 hour advance notice for pickup and delivery. Transportation period depends on the distance and route of your shipment. You will be given an estimated pickup & delivery date by Global Auto Transportation at the time of your vehicle shipment setup. Running vs. Non-Running

Can a non-running vehicle be moved? Global Auto Transportation has an answer for you: however, additional charges might be applied. In order to provide you with right information, we need to know the current condition of the vehicle. It is very important that non-drivable vehicles' tires roll forward and reverse, steers and brakes. However, if the vehicles that do not meet this standard can still be moved, but some special equipment may involved for loading and unloading. Global Auto Transportation moves vehicles for salvage auto auctions, storage yards, and insurance companies both drivable and non-drivable autos and trucks.

Our professional drivers, owner operators and assigned carriers are experienced to take care of your non operational vehicles loading and unloading process. If the vehicles won’t start, rolls, steers or brake, we have to use forklift for loading. Damages may occur during the loading and unloading, are not transit damage and therefore, non-running vehicles are moved at the owner’s risk.
