LOS ANGELES, CA — A drug bust executed inside a Los Angeles home on Wednesday resulted in the death of one person. According to authorities, a man armed with a weapon was shot and killed by at least one federal agent.
Furthermore, the drug bust occurred around 3:45 a.m. in the San Fernando Valley as confirmed by U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration spokeswoman Nicole Nishida. As the search began, agents encountered the armed suspect.
While no arrests have been made, the Los Angeles Police Department continues to investigate the shooting. However, the LAPD has yet to make a statement regarding the incident.
Importantly, it should be noted that several people were inside the home during the shooting. They were all questioned by authorities too.
Moreover, no additional information has been released. Also, the number of agents who shot at the person, and the identity of the victim is still unclear. The reason for the drug bust has not been revealed either. In addition to this, Nishida did not know whether the person was armed with a gun or not, or if gunfire was exchanged.
However, she reported that none of the federal agents were harmed during the search. Further adding that the drug investigation remains ongoing.
