The Chrysler Voyager in the 2022 model year will not be purchasable by private motorists. In fact, the minivan is now a fleet-only model. It’s considered a cheaper alternative to the Pacifica which will lose most of its trim levels. But, however, it will gain a long list of standard features during the transition.

Chrysler Voyager Has One Trim

The minivan usually does speak the term which designates rental car companies. Usually, fleet buyers do take on many shapes and forms. In fact, Chrysler is simplifying buying done by pairing down the lineup from three to one trim. It is calling LX. It gains a 7.0-inch touchscreen which runs the Uconnect 5 infotainment system. Plus the second-row Stow ‘n Go Seats, plus the power-operated sliding doors, in addition to heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel. In fact, there is also a new air filtration system that is sharing with the Pacifica.

List of Options

In fact, there is a list of options that now includes a package that is calling Safety and Premium Group. It bundles a blind-spot monitoring system. It also includes rear parking sensors plus a rear cross-path detection, full-speed forward collision warning. In addition, to automatic emergency braking and a 10.1-inch touchscreen with navigation. Upmarket features include leather upholstery and a 19-speaker Harman-Kardon has a surround-sound system which is not offered.

Mechanical Changes

There are no mechanical changes Chrysler is not making. So, therefore, the power for the Voyager does come from a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 rated at 287 horsepower. Plus 262 pound-feet of torque. Therefore, it spins in the front wheels via a nine-speed automatic transmission. Also, all-wheel drive is not available. The Pacifica can, in fact, get its power sending to four wheels. There are no visual changes to report similarly.

The Voyager still looks like a pre-facelift Pacifica.

For the 2022 Voyager, the pricing information is going to be announcing closer to its on-sale date. Moreover, at the launch, buyers will have five colors called Silver Mist, Brilliant Bright White, Granite Crystal, and Velvet Red.
